Artisan, visionary, multi-faceted with an impeccable eye for detail, Debra Kelly is a Visual Artist, Creative Director, Makeup/Hair Artist, Stylist, Educator with international experience. Debra moved back to Australia in 2018, after travelling extensively for 18 years, working in Europe, Asia and North America and trained globally in Los Angeles, New York, Calgary and Melbourne with elite artists such as Alex Box, Roshar, Rae Morris, Danessa Myricks, Beau Nelson, Kevin James Bennet, James Vincent and Dina Ousley.

Known for her innovative flare and evocative design pieces Debra’s work incorporates her vivid imagination, creative design and makeup skill set into works of wearable art utilising a myriad of materials. Her masterpiece YAEZAKI stood proudly in gallery windows of downtown Calgary and has been featured in artisan shows such as RAW.

During her North American stay Debra was represented and managed as a Makeup/Hair Artist by Artists Within. Her body of work included editorial publications in such magazines as HACID, STELL, ELLEMENTS, STANDOUT PUBLICATIONS and HUFF, printed catalogue work and servicing private clients.

In 2017 Debra was invited by The Royal Melbourne Flower show to recreate SESHEN an exquisite Lotus installation which was admired by thousands of visitors. Her exceptional skill set is sought after by many with most recent collaborative works featured at the Ballarat International Foto Biennale 2019 and featured in a documentary “Creative Ladies In The Hills”.

Debra excels and is well respected in all areas of her industry and highly experienced in the role of mentor and educator. Having taught at the prestigious makeup school NIIDM in Alberta, Canada and Beauty EDU in Melbourne, Australia. A featured artist and consultant with Iwata Australia she has also independently launched The Airbrush Academy, a niche and specialised area geared towards airbrush artistry.

Debra has won the hearts of many with her passion, nurturing nature and authenticity. She has been instrumental in the fashion industry with talent scouting and played an instrumental role in talent development. Many aspiring artists/models have embarked on rewarding careers globally with agency representation.
